I CAN'T get enough of FACEBOOK!!!!

Recently, I joined the latest craze...FACEBOOK! I didn't know what I'd think of it. I'm not even sure what compelled me to join Facebook in the first place BUT my blogger friends it is truly amazing!!

Blogger has given me a forum to speak my heart and my mind. Myspace has given me an opportunity to make some connections but it has nothing on Facebook. Example: Myspace has connected me to my circle of friends I've had within the last couple years from college. A little network of friends. Facebook...within the last 2 weeks has connected me with one of my best friends from Kindergarden to Grade 8. Up until 2 weeks ago on Facebook, I had not seen or heard from Kim since my last day of elementary school. What a blessing to find her again. I was forced to go to high school in a different district because it was closer to home but that meant leaving all of my friends. Kim lived the furthest away from me and her phone number was long distance...so our friendship was the one to be most affected in the transition. I missed her friendship A LOT in high school and I still think about her from time to time but I had no idea that God would chose to open this door and I'm grateful He has!!!!

I have also reconnected with friends from my childhood...kids I used to hang out with because our parents were friends. This has been such an amazing experience for me. It's as easy as typing the name of an old friend and seeing if they have a facebook account. I have been so excited. If you don't have an account with facebook, I think it's a great idea to start one. It has brought me such joy and I just had to share it with you. I'm so looking forward to the day when I get to sit face to face again with Kim and we can just relax, have a warm drink and share the last 12 years of our lives. I believe God will give us that chance or He wouldn't have reconnected us in the first place.

The most recent event...

I am officially a teacher come Wednesday afternoon! I have been asked to join the Sussex Christian school team as Grade 9/10 religious world view teacher. Ms. Boyd-Mitchell and school board are entrusting this class to my care. This is so wild...I wouldn't have ever expected this. For the first part of the semester, we will be walkng through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation exploring key thoughts and themes. We will be finishing up the semester with a study on world religions. There is also an exciting aspect to the experience. I will be joining my class and the entire high school body on a fully expense paid trip to New York City in April. How exciting is that? NEW YORK CITY!!!! WHOA! It is my hope and prayer that your new year has started off with lots of exciting things on the horizon for you too.

It's all right here!!
This is a powerful message of life changing worship that left me and many celebrities absolutely speechless! It was so powerful that I have literally watch it over and over again. It made me want to be better and I could feel freedom in worship rise up within me. It made me want and embrace more change in my life. Jesus has many things he wants to do in our lives. I want to follow His lead at all times. My prayer is may our hearts be moved by the very things that move the heart of Jesus!
I know one thing is for sure...Jesus most certainly showed up and showed off!!! Yes Jesus! Now, this is true worship!

A Tribute to Fancy!

There was always a part of me that knew someday you would die but I always wished the day would never come! I can hardly remember not having you and it feels so hard to let you go.

You graced our lives with a joy only you could fill. I'll never forget how you lived up to your name Fancy. You were the Queen of the house and I know one thing is for sure...the house will not be the same without you!

So, this is Christmas...

The Christmas parties have begun. Christmas decorations are being displayed around the house...with no effort of mine. I sit here as the DJ for the evening. I'm not the decorating type! It's nice but I often find myself lost in the midst of it so I leave it for those who enjoy it. In about 13 days, I aboard a jet plane and head west to Ontario for Christmas. I'm excited. This year I will be spending 3 weeks with friends and family. I have to make up for loss time. I have to redeem myself from last year when I was home for my sister's wedding and not home for Christmas day. There is only one problem this year...I've spend so much time away from my family and friends I haven't got the slightest clue what to give them for Christmas. I always love to give something of sentimental value but I often need mental notes for that. No quality time spent means no mental notes noted!! Anybody know of any good gift ideas??? Please share...

I have a reason to sing today!
I've been working in the Christian School.
Although, it's a Christian school, some students are not Christians.
There is one young lady in Grade 9 who just started this year.
She has been through a lot in her life and I could feel it whenever I am near her.
Often times, when I would teach in her class she would refuse to look in my direction.
Oh, how I have been praying for her.
These last few weeks, I have seen a change happening in her.
She started smiling and looking people in the eyes!
I am so excited for her because she has now accepted Christ in her life.
She came to Bible Study last week at our place and gave her life to the Lord here.
PRAISE GOD!!! We had no idea until today!
God has won her heart!!! We can see the difference He is making in her life! There is a joy and peace all over her! YES, YES, YES...You're an awesome God! You change lives, Lord! Your saving grace is truly amazing! You make us sing for joy and dance in pure delight! Thank you for making us free and complete in You! I stand in AWE of you, Jesus!!!
